May 1st marks our 6th year anniversary! So first and foremost: THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who submits their amazing creations to our releases each month and THANK YOU to all of you who come by month after month to see what these great artists create. So without further ado we have launched our 61st release for your enjoyment, featuring over 130 wonderful submissions and an interview with Sam Balcomb, the director of the Legend of Zelda Movie Trailer for IGN.

Trent is at it again, releasing another new (free) Nine Inch Nails song. Taylor C. Pemberton updates his site with a new look. Familiar with the studio Invisible Creature (formerly Asterik)?? Did you know that two of the designers are also in the metal band Demon Hunter? Well, if no to both, you do now (you really should check out IC’s work, some amazing work!). Anyways, moving on, the MTV Headbangers Ball blog of all sites have a really cool behind-the-scenes feature on how the amazing studio/band hybrid came up with the design for a cd artwork for the band Bleeding Through. It may not be your cup o’ tea style wise but it really does give an interesting glimpse at how some amazing affects can be achieved.

We went ahead and launched Release 60, partially. We didn’t launch yesterday as we were waiting on our newest interview and to be honest, still are. Wordpress has released version 2.5 of their amazing blogging software today. The improvements in 2.5 are numerous, and almost entirely a result of your feedback: multi-file uploading, one-click plugin upgrades, built-in galleries, customizable dashboard and more. Be sure to read about it at their site. They site itself even got a face lift.

Time to empty the inbox again: Neil Duerden sends word that he’s updated his site with new commissioned, collaborative and motion work. Phirebase is a new site dedicated to graphic design and music in the Czech Republic. The gang over at Addictive Hobby have gave their forum a facelift and always looking for new artists to post. Wee Planets are an interesting collection of spherical panoramic photos by Alexandre Duret-Lutz. AOL of all sites have a great collection of Nature photos from 2007.
