EndEffect

My good friend George has relaunched EndEffect with a brand new look. George has been one of the bigger names in the desktop wallpaper community for quite a number of years now. So go check the new look but stay for his great work.

Hitch

Alfred Hitchcock left a peerless legacy of the stylishly macabre. In this year’s Vanity Fair Hollywood Portfolio, Keira Knightley, Javier Bardem, Seth Rogen, and other stars channel iconic moments from the director’s greatest hits.

cmdshft3

The image we used for the post says it better then we could: “CommandShift3 is like Hot or Not. Except, instead of clicking on hot babes, you click on hot websites.” and that is exactly what it’s like. The site shows off two sites and you vote which one you think is the better of […]

linkaholic

Flavio’s site workaholic is brand new, check it. Also on the redesign front, the gang at iSpot have a new look as well. Designgraphik, a decade has come and gone. Urbancollective’s 66th issue: Disease is online. There is still time to hit the earlybird special for registering for the 2008 HOW Design Conference, so you […]

videotrace

Quite an interesting technique for tracing video into 3d objects (and re-using in the video). Interesting possibilities.

RIP: Polaroid

It appears Polaroid is calling it quits and killing off it’s film format. Photographs everywhere shed a tear. So if you’re still enjoying the instant gratification that these cameras offer, you better hunt down the film and keep a stash hidden. We’ll miss you Polaroid!

This year is a leap year so you have one extra day to get your submissions in this month, nice huh?

Review: Apes - “Ghost Games”

After two albums, two 7” records, opening for Liars in 2006 (no, not the current Pitchfork-fodder Liars, stop that, the cool “Drum’s Not Dead” Liars), and the departure of their lead singer, DC-area band Apes have branded their own blend of psychedelic stomp-rock.
