It appears Polaroid is calling it quits and killing off it’s film format. Photographs everywhere shed a tear. So if you’re still enjoying the instant gratification that these cameras offer, you better hunt down the film and keep a stash hidden. We’ll miss you Polaroid!

Today we have the launch of our 58th Release chalk full of some amazing submissions and an interview with artist Maxime Portugais. This year is a leap year so you have one extra day to get your submissions in this month, nice huh?
After two albums, two 7” records, opening for Liars in 2006 (no, not the current Pitchfork-fodder Liars, stop that, the cool “Drum’s Not Dead” Liars), and the departure of their lead singer, DC-area band Apes have branded their own blend of psychedelic stomp-rock.
